Porto

The 24th EPMA Summer School edition takes place in Porto, Portugal. The vibrant coastal city on the Douro River combines a rich history with modern flair. Among tiled façades and winding alleys, heritage meets creativity and, thanks to the large student community, culture and conviviality thrive.

Porto is a city of knowledge and tradition. Each year, more than 30,000 students from Portugal and abroad bring the historic city to life. The University of Porto, founded in 1911, is one of the country’s leading institutions and ranks among the best universities worldwide. In addition to its academic excellence, the dynamic atmosphere and the wide range of leisure activities make Porto an inspiring place to study and live.

Porto University

The EPMA Summer School lectures will be held at the University of Porto, which generously provides access to its facilities and stimulating learning environments.

We thank the University of Porto for their partnership and dedication to advancing knowledge, innovation, and international collaboration. Their support enriches the experience of every participant and strengthens the academic community we build together.

Accomodation

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay during the EPMA Summer School, participants will be accommodated in individual rooms at B&B Porto Gaia, a modern and welcoming hotel located just 15 minutes by public transport from the university and close to Porto city center.

A buffet breakfast is included each morning, offering a wide variety of fresh and local options to start the day.
