By Air

The nearest airport is Dresden International (DRS), located in the north of the city, 10 kilometers from the centre of Dresden. Once at the airport, there is 2 different options to reach the city center :

Train: The cheapest option is to take the train from the airport to the Dresden Central Station. Tickets are €2 and the journey is approximately 20 minutes (trains depart every 30 minutes, tickets can be bought from the vending machines at the station or from the information desks at the airport). You can then reach the Ibis Dresden Zentrum Hotel walking in 6 minutes.

Taxi: If you prefer a more comfortable ride over public transport, consider taking a taxi. You will find taxis right in front of the terminal building. The approximate fare from the airport to the centre of Dresden is around 25 euros. The journey lasts up to 25 minutes.

By Train

You can buy your train tickets in Germany on Deutsche Bahn website.

From Dresden Central Station, there's no public transportation to go to the Ibis Dresden Zentrum. You can either go with a taxi or by walking (6 minutes).

To reach the IFAM from Dresden main railway station, take the tram (line 10) to Straßburger Platz (into the direction Striesen). Change to line 1 or 2 outbound (toward Kleinzschachwitz or Prohlis), exit at the stop Zwinglistraße. Walk 10 minutes from there (in the direction of Grunaer Weg) or take bus no. 61 (in the direction Löbtau) and get off at the next stop (Grunaer Weg).

By Car

Dresden is located 200 km from Berlin.

There is no parking available outside the hotel. The nearest one is Ammonstraße, an indoor fee-paying car park. It is located 350 meters from the hotel and cost 6€/days (maximum of 3 days).  

Travel costs are not included in the course fee.
