By Air

Trento can be accessed via the following airports as follows:

Verona - Valerio Catullo airport (90 km away)
A daily shuttle bus service departs every 20 minutes from 06:30 to 23:35 from the airport to the Verona Porta Nuova Station, where a train can then be taken to Trento.

Brescia - Montichiari Airport
A daily shuttle bus service departs every 20 minutes from 06:30 to 23:35 from the airport to the Verona Porta Nuova Station, where a train can then be taken to Trento.

Bergamo - Orio al Serio airport (200 km away)
Shuttle bus services run from the airport:

  • every 15 minutes from 06:05 to 00:15 to the Bergamo railway station
  • every 20 minutes from 04:30 to 01:00 to Milano Centrale railway station
  • to Brescia railway station

from where a train can then be taken to Trento.

Venice - Marco Polo Airport (200 km away)
There are buses to the Venezia-Santa Lucia and Mestre-Venezia railways stations from where a train can then be taken to Trento.

Bolzano - Bolanzo Airport (60 km away)
The line 10A or 10B bus stop is approximately 600m from the airport and goes to Bolanzo city centre. You can then reach Trento by train.

Malpensa - Malpensa Airport (265 km away)
A shuttle service to the centre of Milan is available. Buses leave every 20-30 minutes and run 24 hours a day. You can then reach Trento by train.

Linate - Linate Airport (245 km away)
A shuttle service to the centre of Milan is available. Buses leave every 20-30 minutes and run24 hours a day. You can then reach Trento by train.

By Train

Information and timetables for trains to Trento can be found on the Ferrovie dello Stato website. The Trento railway station is in Piazza Dante.
Please note that you always have to change trains in Verona (to go to Trento - the direction is Brennero/Monaco) and that there are no train connections between 23:00 and 05:00.

Train informaiton for travel from Germany or Austria can be found on the Deutsche Bahn and OBB websites respectively.

By Car

Trento is reached by car via:

  • the Brennero main road or;
  • the A22 Brennero motorway (A22-exit for 'Trento nord' if you are coming from the north or 'Trento sud', if you are coming from the south) or;
  • the Valsugana highway for those arriving from Venice or;
  • the main road of the Gardesana occidentale (main road 45) for those arriving from Brescia.

By Bus

You can reach Trento by bus using the newly added route from the main airports and stations to Trento by Flixbus.

Public Transport

To move in and around Trento you can use the taxi service or public busses and coaches (Trentino Trasporti).
